Lisa Hanawalt draws illustrations and funnies for places like The New York Times, New York magazine, The Hairpin, McSweeney's, Chronicle Books, and Vanity Fair. She recently illustrated a children's book, Benny's Brigade, with Arthur Bradford. Hanawalt was raised in Palo Alto, California, and graduated from UCLA in 2006. She currently lives in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with a dog and a comedian.

Quirky, delightful, disturbing book! What a fun read. The illustrations are some of the most wonderful I've seen in a graphic novel. As i made my way through the pages, I kept being surprised. Probably won't be handing this over to my teenage daughter to read--there are some pretty raw images that you might not want to share with your kids unless its okay with you to see them with 'dirty eyes".

This book is great! It's very funny and a delight to read and look at. If you like BoJack or Farside Comics or silly movie reviews you'll like this book. Lisa does a podcast called Baby Geniuses. It's great to! Keep up the good work. Hopefully there's more books like this in the future from this author.

Absurdist stream-of-conscious amazingness. Lend it to all your friends and they'll instantly realize you aren't a loser and in fact they'll actually probably think to themselves "oh wait this person who I barely considered a friend before she/he/person-who-doesn't-conform-to-society's-bs-gender-binaries lent me this book is actually really so dope, almost too dope, and I should probably hang out with them more and learn from their amazing taste and personality."Thank you Lisa.

I was expecting something a little off the wall, and this book is definitely that. I actually laughed out loud while reading, so much so that I had to share the book with my boyfriend (who is currently getting a kick out of it.)

I've come to expect craziness from Hanawalt but not just for the sake of being zany. Truly creative and imaginative, always a treat. I loved this book!

This is funny stuff. And I know funny. The art is funny too. So you have funny stuff and funny art all together in one package. It's like a scrumptious pie baked inside a scrumptious pie. For under $20 you get all that. Buy it.

Lisa Hanawalt is the best. I've been a long-time fan of hers, and this most recent volume does not disappoint. Full of animals in sweaters, dogs wearing hats, excellently absurd movie reviews, and the trademark Hanawalt Charm, this is a must have for any coffee table or bookshelf in the know.

Got this for my lady for xmas because this artist designed characters for Bojack the Horseman. It's totally rad art. Totally got luck. :)
